Exploring the sun-soaked streets of Bel-Air in Dead Island 2 often leads players to locked containers filled with valuable equipment. One early point of interest is the Coach's Car, a dark vehicle parked along the suburban roads with a trunk that requires a specific key. Finding this key requires tracking down a specific target in the surrounding neighborhood.
Locating the Coach's Car in Bel-Air
The Coach's Car is situated near the intersection of Access Road 781 and Access Road 782. You will spot a dark SUV sitting by the road right outside the grounds of Colt Swanson's estate. Inspecting the rear of the vehicle reveals a locked trunk listed as a lockbox on your map.
Attempting to open the vehicle without the key will prompt a missing item notice. To claim the loot hidden inside, you must search nearby locations for the named zombie holding the key.
Where to Find Coach Ace and the Keys
To acquire the keys, head toward the private tennis court located just below Colt Swanson's mansion. The key target spawns after you progress to the main story quest titled O Michael, Where Art Thou. Once you reach the tennis court, you will encounter a unique named zombie called Coach Ace.
Coach Ace is a Runner variant wearing recognizable athletic attire while eating a corpse in the corner. Defeating Coach Ace in combat will cause her to drop the Coach's Car Keys onto the ground. Pick up the key before heading back to the parked vehicle.
Unlocking the Trunk and Claiming Rewards
Return to Access Road 782 and interact with the back of the dark SUV. Using the key will unlock the trunk and reveal your reward inside.
Players are rewarded with an Agile Golf Club, a rare melee weapon scaled to your current character level. This weapon provides reliable critical hit potential and agility boosts during early combat encounters.
